A look at some odds-and-ends, after-the-jump ….

But first: Top Comments appears nightly, as a round-up of the best comments on Daily Kos. Surely ... you come across comments daily that are perceptive, apropos and .. well, perhaps even humorous. But they are more meaningful if they're well-known ... which is where you come in (especially in diaries/stories receiving little attention).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Send your nominations to TopComments at gmail dot com by 9:30 PM Eastern Time nightly, or by our KosMail message board. Please indicate (a) why you liked the comment, and (b) your Dkos user name (to properly credit you) as well as a link to the comment itself.

For various reasons: I just couldn’t come up with an organizing theme tonight … and so, some random tweets. (Partly, it’s as things are so infuriating today, I need some either positive or — at least — less toxic themes).

As someone who went to college (and worked in) lower Manhattan years ago …. I also loved that inscription …. along with the General Post Office’s “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds”.

An amusing fact I vaguely recalled, confirmed by Wikipedia: The classical-style New York Supreme Court building, next door to where Trump will be arraigned, has a frieze with an inscription, "The true administration of justice is the firmest pillar of good government." pic.twitter.com/zT5Mwm49fB

Trump indicted AND Finland joins NATO? It’s like Globalist RINO Cuck Mardi Gras.

A racist massacre is coming, y’all. Bigger than Charleston or Buffalo, I mean. The trend lines of emotionally unbalanced white resentment seem headed that way. I hope I’m wrong, but fear I’m not. Let’s all be careful out there. https://t.co/owSuxK5YjL

Apparently, TN representatives who are expelled can return by running again in a special election. The state constitution also says a lawmaker can't be expelled a second time for the same offense. Expect a national campaign for re-election. @brotherjoneshttps://t.co/cSykM8bbH6

Finally … though this isn’t quite as funny when I learned that somebody threw a skateboard into this dolt’s wheels (rather than him not looking where he was going) …. for aping the Q-Anon Shaman costume, I’ll still laugh.

Let’s close with a 1970’s song with a modern rendition.

Now, on to Top Comments:

(Nothing from the field this evening)

And from Ed Tracey, your faithful correspondent this evening ........

In the diary by about danarheaelliott on the primary election bid of RFK Jr. — a VP suggestion is made by joeknapp

Next - enjoy jotter's wonderful (and now eternal) *PictureQuilt™* below. Just click on the picture and it will magically take you to the comment featuring that photo.

(NOTE: Any missing images in the Quilt were removed because (a) they were from an unapproved source that somehow snuck through in the comments, or (b) it was an image from the DailyKos Image Library which didn't have permissions to allow others to use it.)

And lastly: yesterday's Top Mojo - mega-mojo to the intrepid mik ...... who rescued this feature from oblivion:
