Top Comments: Various Topics edition

A look at some serious (and not-so-serious) topics, after-the-jump.

But first: Top Comments appears nightly, as a round-up of the best comments on Daily Kos. Surely ... you come across comments daily that are perceptive, apropos and .. well, perhaps even humorous. But they are more meaningful if they're well-known ... which is where you come in (especially in diaries/stories receiving little attention).

In both the comments from the Russian president …. and US Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) …. the word Lebensraum comes up quickly. 

On a somewhat lighter note

I’ve always thought the most mis-named devices in the world are ... 3-D printers   

I suppose using the factual term Additive Manufacturing is perhaps not as whiz-bang as 3D … still, can’t those who designed this unit of precision and sophisticated light production … come up with something simple, yet apt?  

As Top Comments always doubles as an Open Thread, feel free to weigh-in at large … will try to end on a more humorous note (though not all may like it).
