On May 1st, the traditional Labor Day in Europe is often hijacked … and in the Czech Republic’s second-largest city of Brno, this year saw the neo-Nazi Workers Party of Social Justice hold a rally.

Yet someone who was having none of it was Lucie Myslikova— a 16 year-old film and animation student, who was wearing her Girl Scout uniform … and was photographed facing-down a skinhead.

"I went to the counter-demonstration as someone who was determined to change things. To me it makes sense to try and change the world around me," she went on.

"I think young people should get involved in such things. They should be aware of what's going on.

"You ask me if standing up to skinheads should be left to older people - well us, younger people, are going to be living here a lot longer than the older generation."

A fellow counter-protester took the photo … and it has gone viral.

Lucie now joins other brave souls such as Saffiyah Khan, Ieshia Evans and Tess Asplund as being willing to confront some truly nasty characters.

The World Organisation of the Scout Movement posted the photograph on its Facebook page with the message: “People from all walks of life, and Scouts among them, came to the streets during an extreme right march yesterday to express their support for values of diversity, peace and understanding. Creating a better world!”

Let’s let this brave young person have the final words, when she explained that she knew she was risking some physical harm (even if it healed):

"But if I'd kept silent or if I'd decided not to get involved, it would have left a wound inside me that would never have healed."

No matter what happens in Congress today …. this is a good sign for the future.
